A couple of months ago, I saw a call for guest posts from Mountain Brook Ink for their blog. They were looking for devotionals, testimonies, true life love stories, thoughts on storytelling, or short stories.

A short story immediately came to mind and it didn’t take me long to draft it. That never happens. I had looked through the blog at the posts for the past several months and had only seen one or two short stories, and mine was a lot darker in tone and subject matter than those. I wasn’t sure if it would be acceptable, so sent it in for review. They liked it. So I polished it and submitted the final copy. It will go live on February 25th.
